Airflow Before Charge

This technical course is focused on understanding the importance of proper airflow on AC/HP systems. This program focuses on how to set proper airflow on Puron Advance/R-454B residential furnaces and fan coils. Additionally, participants will learn about the proper installation and startup of Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, and Fan Coils. Students will also learn the fundamentals of airflow, air measurement, and refrigerant charging.

The below topics will be discussed:

• Airflow settings on Furnaces and Fan Coils
• Furnace coil dissipation system installation and setup
• Fan Coil dissipation system
• Interact with service tech app to obtain data for proper system setup
• Measure static with a manometer
• Calculate system CFM
• Methods to properly charge refrigerant systems
